Maryellen Baker Attorney at Law has been in the private practice of law for over 20 years and served as Elkhart County's first full-time public defender. Her background is well-suited to representing you in a variety of matters.
The law and Maryellen Baker date back to when she was 13 years old and active in student government at St. Thomas Elementary School in Elkhart. Following graduation from Elkhart Memorial High School and Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, Maryellen headed to Notre Dame Law School where she was involved with the creation of the Social Justice Forum, an organization affiliated with the law school which continues in existence today.
Her two daughters are, a 2015 graduate of Ball State University, with a G.I.S. career in Nashville, Tennessee, and a 2017 graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington, who lives and works in Elko, Nevada as a geologist.
